Disable Adobe Reader Sign In when open a PDF

Disable Adobe Reader Sign In when open a PDF

I do not remember since when Adobe Reader mandatory requires user to login their Adobe ID once open a PDF file. It is quite annoying. Especially, if you are on a slow Internet environment, you have to wait for login page to be fully loaded. And during that time, you cannot scroll down to browse the PDF content. How to get rid of this silly online function? Here is the solution.

Move C:Program Files (x86)AdobeReader 11.0Readerplug_insIA32.api plugin file to other folder to prevent it to be loaded during startup, or just delete it. Quite simple and clean. This will also interrupt its network function, such as printing.

Below is the correct fix.

Load Regedit
Path HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareAdobeAcrobat Reader11.0
Click on 11 and right click add new key
Call the key: Workflows
Select Workflows right click new DWORD (32-bit) Value
Call DWORD: bEnableAcrobatHS
Set the variable to “0”.
